Hadley Memorial Hospital To Be Acquired


WASHINGTON, D.C. - (May 25, 2006) Doctors Community Healthcare Corporation ("DCHC") announced today that they have come to agreement on the sale of PACIN / Hadley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C. to Specialty Hospitals of America ("SHA") headquartered in Portsmouth, NH.

Specialty Hospitals of America manages, operates and develops high acuity long and short term acute care hospitals and nursing facilities. The company's vision is to provide Focused Centers of Medical Excellence (FCME's) in its managed and owned hospitals and nursing facilities. The basis of this philosophy is to create medical facilities where doctors and staff concentrate on and develop extraordinary expertise in specialty areas... with the combined results of improved patient care and a sustainable business model. Current programs of medical excellence being targeted include Cardiopulmonary & Ventilator Care, Wound Care and Medically Complex Patient Management.

Specialty Hospitals of America also owns and operates The Specialty Hospital of Washington.

Hadley is accredited by JCAHO and was recognized in the 2005 US News and World Report-Best Hospitals issue for Washington, D.C, Maryland and Virginia. In February of 2005, Hadley was featured in a cover story in Advance Journal of Nursing focusing on improvements in wound care.

The acquisition is targeted to close in August 2006.
